Witkin Design Group Named Landscape Architect for Major New Resort in Antigua

North Miami Beach based Witkin Design Group has been retained by Stanford Development Company, Ltd., Antigua, to provide landscape architecture and the design of recreational amenities, hardscapes, irrigation and exterior lighting for Shell Beach Resort & Marina, Antigua.

Groundbreaking is set for October, with completion planned for fall, 2006, just prior to Antigua hosting World Cup Cricket the following February.

The resort will be located on the north shore of Antigua, on land surrounding Antigua’s international airport. It will feature a 1.2 linear mile oceanfront park, two pools, two restaurants, an outdoor spa, exercise facilities and tennis courts. One hundred and thirty suites will be located in 20 detached, 2-story villas as well as in a 2-story Great House which will serve as the resort’s welcome center.

Architect for the project is OBM International.
